Nashville Named Top Global Destination in June by National Geographic

Nashville, Tennessee is routinely ranked among the top spots in the country to visit. It’s also one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. In a report by National Geographic, Nashville, Tennesse is named the No. 1 Global Destination to Visit this June.

Let’s be honest, there are not many places better than Nashville, Tennessee! This city is exciting because it has much to offer tourists, especially music fans. If you consider yourself a fan of music, good food, friendly people, and endless entertainment, then you would be missing out if you didn’t make it down South.

 

Country Music Awards

The month will start with the Country Music Awards (CMA) on June 9th. Major country superstars including Dierks Bentley, Keith Urban, and Carrie Underwood will perform to help raise funds for the Country Music Association Foundation’s music education programs.

 

Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival

Based on the report by National Geographic, Music City hits a high note in the month of June. Several music festivals will be held in the city this summer including the annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival on June 16-19. 

The festival will be having over 150 performances, comedy, cinema, interactive art installations, food trucks, yoga, and sustainability workshops that will sprawl across a 700-acre farm on the city’s outskirts.

 

Make Music Nashville

Make Music Nashville will be taking tunes to the streets, sidewalks, breweries, parks, and even the airport this June 21st. The event is a live, free musical celebration during the longest day of the year. This celebration is not limited to the residents of Nashville but also invites music enthusiasts from everywhere to come to participate by performing, attending, or volunteering.

Musicians Corner

Inspired by London’s Speakers’ Corner, the Musicians Corner hits the stage at the Centennial Park each weekend in May and June. The Nashville version was made as a musical landmark and community gathering space, drawing artists such as Emmylou Harris, Chris Stapleton, and Vince Gill.
